so here's a question. when a restaurant, say, mcdonalds, says they have a 1/3lb burger, do they mean it was 1/3lb raw or cooked? i would think raw, because how are you going to estimate how much meat to use to make a cooked hamburger that's 1/3lb? i mean, i'm sure there's some kind of mathematical due-to-cooking-loss/ratio equation or something, but we're talking hamburgers here. lots and lots. billions served. they don't have time for math. and that's not what the big yellow M stands for. (it stands for mmmmmmmeat.)

not that there's a whole LOT of loss. but some.

an i'll admit that i'm bad with weights. i can't estimate holding weight for shit. (which is always a worrisome project when i go to the airport...but if a suitcase was really 70lbs, i'm sure i wouldn't be able to lift it.) but i swear that angus burger was a little light while i was holding it in my hands. i kept thinking, if there were three of these, would it feel like a pound? and you know what? i really couldn't say.

felt like a ton in my belly though. i'll be crapping a meat baby tomorrow.

and you know what else? i don't think that was really all angus. it didn't taste that much better than their regular hamburgers. well it did, because there were more veggies on it and a better bun. but the meat tasted the same. maybe a hint better. a percentage. i bet there's only a percentage of angus in that puck. but what percentage, i don't know. that's more weighing and math. and mcdonalds is for days of dumb.
