random thoughts: hump day
Sep. 2nd, 2009 09:46 ami'm not having dreams lately. rather, i'm not remembering any. i would like to have dreams again. where did they go? maybe i'm not getting enough sleep.
i'm almost done with this book i've been reading all month. i can't wait to finish it today. i've had it with this one.
i actually got to see a movie last night. that felt good. too bad it sucked.
dispite all of these negative comments, i'm actually in a very good mood today.
which may, over the course of the day, be ruined by the contractors downstairs, drilling things into the ceiling just below my cube. it is boring right through me, like getting a filling, except the sound is coming from outside of my skull rather than within it and coming up through my spine rather than my teeth.
work has been slow these two weeks. i've gotten a lot of writing done. i wish i could stitch at my desk.
i would love to go to the fair this year. i'm trying to find a way to make that happen.
did i tell you that i'm chopping off my hair? first time having short hair since korea. appointment is this saturday evening. aren't you excited? i am. scared, a little. but every time i've gotten my hair chopped for shows, i've been pleasantly surprised. i think it's the feeling of letting someone else control my looks...then i don't have to be responsible. and the last person who knows what looks good on you is yourself. other people look at you more than you do, they know better. so yay for carin and crist taking the reins on this. i'd donate to locks of love, but most of what's hanging there is damaged goods. so we're keeping it for burning. yes, i know that's enigmatic. you'll understand what that means later. it's cool.
so that means i have to finish my little collar scarf, because my neck will need love this winter.
*sigh* winter. i can't even start thinking about that just yet. my precious autumn is on its way, and i'm gearing up for it because we are totally going to fall in love, minnesota autumn and i.
