so my parents are still on dialup and the connection is painful. reading lj is one thing, posting on it requires my gmail. in html mode. i'm glad my parents have never had cable...they may live in blissful ignorance of the slowness and incompatibility of their set up. i, however, require more, because i am a spoiled, spoiled suchnsuch.
anyway. i'm in minnesota. here's a quick recap.
SATURDAY:
touch down in mpls, hair cut. bangs and a chick rocker mullet. sarah met me at the salon and had an equally awesome haircut.
met siri for lunch and nap.
kate nash concert at first ave. trachberg family opened, were amazing, and made their own hand made merch. kate was cute, doughheads in audience kept shouting out her name just in case she'd forgotten it.
immediately after to the fine line where kat s. was sitting merch for the proclaimers. i'm flattered that they would walk 5000 miles to fall down at my door.
SUNDAY:
siri bakes cinamon rolls.
we go to uptown VFW to see jodi and her wares and eat dollar tacos, then to the MIA where art in bloom is HAPPENING!!!
carin throws a party and all of the very best people attend. there is too much love and too much food. wine and knittery abound. sarah and i discover we are wearing the same bra and we flash kris' boyfriend while kat shows everyone her bruised ass and imitates a 7 year-old with tourrets. zoe is a wealth of LA knowlege and dylan a well of zen. i played with kitties.
MONDAY:
met mom at the MOA, breakfast, shopping, lunch, on to rochester.
the dog has got amazingly fat.
spent the afternoon with my nephews talking about video games and indiana jones. impressed by the pirate-themed temporary tatoos they've plastered all over their bodies, i have renamed them gunface and skullbelly. they will thank me later in life.
TUESDAY:
hit hobby lobby and got 45 skeins of floss--the remaining 1/4th of the amount i will need for the next project.
made mom go to all three rochester game stop locations and scored:
legend of zelda: minish cap (GBA)
legend of zelda: oracle of ages (GBColor)
hamtaro: ham-hams unite! (GBColor)
hamtaro: ham-ham heartbreak (GBA)
