subversive connectivity....

i have a plan. i spied a coworker sitting in the lobby with his macbook and i SEIZED UPON HIM. "is there WIRELESS here?????" and lo, he did point to me all of the hotspots and web cafes within range. and there are some to be had.

so. i can do one of two things. i can, as stephanieJB suggests, get myself a new toy in form of an eePC:

or i can simply invest in the web browser for the DS:

which is a bit more limited, but much cheaper (and may justify my want to buy the pink DS for myself since i wouldn't want to steal gabe's all the time).

of course, i can also see if i can live without it. life without the internet IS possible (remember those days?), but the days seem so much longer. plus, i feel cut off from the news. i don't read the newspaper and local news here is nothing but traffic reports and celebrity/american idol trash. i need my BBCworld and CNN.

i dunno. any other suggestions?
