REVIEWS OF THE DUCHESS #126: THE WEDDING CRASHERS

vince vaughn is a babbling genius. he makes the movie. christopher walken isn't used enough. and, can i say, go just for the very special cameo guest. it's someone that you love.

REVIEWS OF THE DUCHESS #127: OCEAN'S TWELVE (dvd)

poop. the only thing that kept my interest for more than a few seconds was eddie izzard. this movie was nice background noise while i cleaned rico's cage and reorganized my closet.

REVIEWS OF THE DUCHESS #128: A TALE OF TWO SISTERS (dvd)

typical korean freak-out. i don't know what it is about korean movies, but i find them very predictable. but it had some really nice freaky imagery that creeped me out...the whole crawling/hanging mother ghost is a mite spooky and had me sleeping with the t.v. on.
_____

speaking of spooky...i kept dreaming about dead people last night. now, i'm usually pretty thankful for any dream because i don't get them often. but i can do without dreams of waking up and having silent, blind, gaping dead people standing in my room. not doing anything, just standing there, all turned toward me, mouths agape. and somehow, in the dream, i kept just going back to sleep. the only way i really knew i was awake at any given time was 1) there were no dead people and 2) i didn't WANT to go back to sleep. but i did eventually. and they'd come back.

i told you it would give me nightmares. if something is dead, it should act like it. not be standing around rooms and such. i had the same dream after reading "pet cemetary" too.

that's it. i'm renting "dawn of the dead" again tonight. if i'm going to get freaked out, i'm gounna do it all the way.

I thought I had a pretty good grasp of Internet slang, but I'm unfamiliar with "gleh" - could explain, please? It's not even in Urban Dictionary.

Go ahead and rent Dawn of the Dead, but don't come to me for sympathy when you wake up clutching a cricket bat. :)

i think it's just a noise. like, "gleh. i've had enough chicken in a biscuit." or "yay! pancakes....(10 minutes later)....gleh. pancakes."

i know that's not right, but that's what i think of when i see it.

it might be "greasy lanky ersatz hero

or "glaring like an egotistical hbastard."

or "gay lump egg ham." i like that best.

Well, it was strange. I'm not really sure if I was already dead, or knew I was going to die soon. But all I could think of was "Oh God, I'd better find all the burliest, strongest guys I can find, and I should probably prepare for 6 or 8 guys, cause 4 isn't nearly enough to carry me!!" It was funny and depressing and bad for my self-image, all at the same time.

And yes, I'm putting you down on record ;)

Okay, this is kinda freaky, but I also dreamt about dead people last night. I dreamt that I was trying to bring dead babies back to life.

I, too, dreamed of dead people. But not last night. I napped this afternoon and dreamed of zombies. I tried to defend myself against them with a TOOTHPICK!!

Right before that, I had a dream that my mother had stomach cancer, and woke up bawling like a baby.

And right before that, I had a dream that I was a Dr. Doolittle of sorts, and could talk to animals. Me and a sweet little koala bear had a really nice conversation about the environment.

THanks a lot Kelli. Now tonight I'm gonna dream of a zombie koala bear that can talk to toothpicks with stomach cancer.

Both my girlfriend and myself had really odd dreams Monday night as well. I can't say that hers were about dead people, but mine weren't. Still, we both woke up at 3 am (2am CST) and talked about it before going back to sleep. Odd thing is she doesn't really have dreams often either. I get dreams damn near nightly, just not so weird.
