Writer's Block: One last question ...

i know it's not really answering the question, but i kind of just want to go back in time to emily d's days in white and be one of her privileged few that gets to come and visit her. i've been getting back into my emily fix and i just kind of want to hang out with her. just her and me in her shut up house, talking about flowers and snakes and death and satire. she would wear her white dress and blue shawl, and i would wear whatever color pleased her, whatever she asked. and when we had moments of nothing to say, she would knit and i would stitch. when the weather was warm i'd go out for walks and she would have time to write letters. and she would bake. and the days would be quiet. and i would listen to her humming.

i never knew her, and yet i miss her sometimes.

I enjoy her poetry and find it amusing to sing her poems every now and then. I keep a book of her poetry here in my office.
