it's thursday, i'm in heck.

thursdays now make me think of lydia. she says they're her favorite day of the week. i remember giving her the "you crazy" look when she first told me.
because to me, thursdays are the bullfighters of the week. they wave that weekend in front of you and then take it away at the last second. and when it's finished laughing at you and dancing around you, it puts a sword through your soul by telling you there is still another day of drudgery until you may sleep.
but lydia says she likes thursdays because there is so much anticipation involved. i think that's adorable. every week, she gets to be a kid at christmastime. i like it when she has sparkles in her eyes.
me? i'm in love with fridays. and not just at go home time. i love all of friday. because i have to go to work and i'm thankful that i have employment to make me a useful contributor to society. also, people are in a better mood on fridays and more liable to talk about their lives rather than work. it's when someone can hang out at your desk and tell you whats coming up for them in the next few days and why they're excited. and sometimes the day is shorter than normal, or people leave early and it gets nice and quiet.
also? on fridays? i can drink coffee after 4pm. so i treat myself sometimes.
and? sometimes i get to stay up late.
okay, i always stay up late. but it's nice to be able to stay up late when i get to sleep in the next day.
okay, i very rarely have a saturday where i don't have to set the alarm for one appointment or another. but sometimes i don't. sometimes.
TANGENT! does anyone else make a mad dash for the alarm? like it's going to explode if you don't get it turned off within seconds? i think this is my subconscious not wanting to wake up sarah. even if she is the heaviest sleeper the human race has produced and the walls between our bedrooms is made of atlantian adamantiiumnesiumalloyapoopoo. perhaps i just really hate monotonous beeping. yes. this must be truth.
TANGENT! they need to make an alarm clock in the shape of a TARDIS that makes the landing noise for its alarm. then i would run to it and never let it go....
