aaaand scene.

on the way home from the cinema tonight (i can't remember what we went to see. i must have erased it from my memory) we saw a guy in nothing but an open bathrobe walking across the street in opposition to a green light. most likely a crazy person looking to get hit and win a settlement.

gabe shakes his head and says, "LA is so weird."

i say, "that's what's keeping me here: i can't wait to see what happens next."

we laugh.

last car on the idot train.

so i'm poking around the alternative section of itunes and i come across foxboro hottubs. they're catchy. a mite retro. their singer sounds like billie joe armstrong and they come across as green day goes 60's. they've got a sound like some of the more experimental bits of "american idiot" that i liked.

and then i read the reviews.

*headsmack*

it IS green day. rather, it's a side project with all the boys. but still. green day. a quirkier one that i quite enjoy.
