wow. that was fast.
so the universe got back to me and it's really sorry, but it forgot all about me. somehow, my life got filed in the "no worries now" cabinet instead of "agendas pending." unfortunately, they had to stick me on the end of the list, but i was told to rest easy, they'll give my life some special attention when my turn comes around.
and, like i said, it was all good. these things happen. and they've been good to me in the past, so i waived my right to make a formal complaint.
i really love the customer service with the universe. as a consolation for my troubles, they've lined up some nice little things to keep me occupied for the next couple of weeks. there's a meet up with some local girl-gamers at an arcade on saturday (double bonus as it combines "new place" with "new people"). and sunday is the new year's festival in chinatown--and we'll be there to watch our friend matt run the chinese new year marathon. i've also been inspired to make a large purchase which i will keep a secret for now so i can surprise y'all with it next week. and let's not forget katherine's visit, the best gift of all!
they also threw in a major surprise: george romero. apparently, his fifth film in the 'dead' series, "diary of the dead" was filmed on a tight, 23-day schedule and is previewing next week. and george will be on hand himself for a Q&A. and within minutes of informing gabe, the boy snatched up tickets and guaranteed us a spot. there's nothing like zombies (and their creator) for a valentines date.
(that reminds me that i need to warn you....monday....
....erzulia is coming......)
so thanks be to things at the department of karma. next time they have a pledge drive, i'm chipping in.
