i am so bored right now. there's nothing worse than being in a new job where you haven't been assigned enough to do and yet, you can't just sit around doing nothing because they're paying your ass to work.
so i've been going through the filing room and educating myself on different filings. this basically just means staring at documents so i know what they look like. we get all these different documents from about 45 differnent countries, and not only do all of them have a different format for their stuff, it's all in native languages. so how am i to know where to put something when they give me a bunch of crap and say, "file this?"
the problem is, this is a really mind-numbing way to waste time, and i think i have the hang of everything now, so it's not like i'm really looking anymore. just going through the motions so i can look like i'm doing it.
they have nestle hot chocolate in the breakroom and i keep thinking about getting me some because my hands are cold. but i don't want to drink it because it gives me stomach cramps.
someone keeps stealing my stapler. i've been here just over a week and i've already been through two. wtf?
i shouldn't be on livejournal, but i really needed to eat up 30 minutes without putting myself to sleep.
every once in a while i use the downtime to work on my novel. but that's tough, because my duties don't include a lot of typing, so i don't want to be obvious. i go back and forth between the computer and good ol' pen-n-paper.
they keep saying they have a big project for me. well, where is it? bring it on! let me earn my keep! no work is so assy as trying to LOOK like you're working.
