i have to write this now while i'm still smiling about it.

my lisa adventure )
the only two shows for which i currently attatch the rabbit ears are "survivor" and "house": a reality show with only one reaccuring person, and a pretty new medical show with only one interesting character. most of my favorite shows in the past were sketch--"SNL," "Kids in the Hall," "Laugh In"--so i had to reach back to high school habits of star trek and britcoms....

lifted from justin, patrick, and kelli:

The TV Show Meme

1. Post a list of 10 TV shows you watch (current or cancelled).
2. Have your friends list guesses of your favorite character from each show.
3. When guessed, tell us why you like that character.
________

1. Will and Grace--karen walker. the voice, the careless substance abuse, the willy-nilly grabbing of indiscriminate parts of both persuasions, and her s+m love of rosie make her one of the most powerful women in tv history.

2. The Simpsons

3. Star Trek--bones mccoy. because he's cranky for no apparent reason. it seemed like a good character choice, and then the writers beat it to death. still funny.

4. Star Trek: The Next Generation--data. because his episodes were always more philosophical than the rest; the quest of what it really means to be human was best told from an outsider.

5. Absolutely Fabulous--bubble. undulation queen, fashion accident and ultimate space-cadet.

6. Black Adder

7. Red Dwarf--cat. because out of all the improbable characters, he's the most. and he reminds me of james brown.

8. The Young Ones--vyvian. he's the most postive of the group: when something pisses him off, he finds a way to make himself feel better. this usually involves physically destroying things or screaming the loudest, most scatalogical insults at everyone around him. he is never at a loss for assy words, and no one ever gets the best of him. he IS anarchy incarnate. and, he'll make a damn fine doctor.

9. Mr. Bean--teddy. yes, he IS a character. everytime mr. bean brings him out, i laugh my ass off. favorite moment: christmas, when he gets new eyes.

10. The Office (BBC)--tim. not only do i find martin freeman adorable, but i identify most with his character: the office worker who feels terminally stuck in a job that has nothing to do with his interests, is bored by the very discription of his job, (for the most part) unlucky in love, and the only one in his workplace that seems to have any fucking common sense.
