easy over.
Jan. 3rd, 2007 09:30 amnew years eve was sweet for me, because i got a new years kiss, and that hasn't happened in a long while. it's nice to finally open a new year on a happy-hearted note.
gabe and i met up with a friend of his at the triple rock, which had a great local line-up and was free free free. thanks to the snow dumping out of the sky, it wasn't that crowded either. we got there in time to watch the god damn doo-wop band kick though the last half of their amazingly drunken set, and stayed to watch superhopper play through the new year. then we went home and curled up in my chair together and watched indiana jones until we fell asleep.
gabe's gone now. *sigh* i have to remember how to sleep alone again. ah well... i will see him in 6 weeks when i fly out there to audition for grad school.
even though i haven't had my christmas with kris and siri, i'll go ahead and do my christmas loot rundown....
--from dawn (a coworker): a $15 giftcard to starbucks
--from rachel and tom (gabe's younger sister and her boyfriend): a button up sweater
--from gabe's dad: "six degrees of seperation" script
--from gabe and cassie (his youngest sister): a bell for my bike
--from gabe's mom and cassie: a kickass star wars t-shirt and a chewbacca ornament
--from gabe's grandmother: a black blouse
--from anita and jim (his aunt and uncle): lavendar soap and a scented candle
--from mom: green wool coat, and a portable dvd player
--from dad: new tires for my car
--from gabe: "in me own words: an autobiography of bigfoot," and a video he made of himself reading "stewart little" aloud
--from myself: my little digital camcorder, a distortion pedal for my guitar, and a day-by-day tangrams desktop calendar.
tonight is scheduled time to come up with resolutions. 2007? bring it.
