the last weekend of the summer is gone, and my belly is full of mom's summer foods and veggies straight from the garden. so. time to get down to business. day after labor day = back to movies.



the movies i'm waiting for and why, by amber bjork.

SEPTEMBER:
9th
--"the exorcism of emily rose." exorcism is a good time.

16th
--"just like heaven." got a soft spot for mark ruffalo.
--"the libertine." got a soft spot for johnny depp.
--"proof." got a soft spot for gwynneth and jake. oh. and the play.

23rd
--"tim burton's corpse bride." #2 anticipated movie of my fall.
--"flight plan." what? jodi foster's back? i'm just going for sarsgaard.
--"oliver twist." polanski + kids = wtf? + dickens = curiosity.

30th
--"serenity." i girlscout promise to love the series before i love the movie.
--"mirrormask." neil gaiman is all you need.


OCTOBER:
7th
--"wallace & gromit: the curse of the were-rabbit." yay for english clamation! 'sbout time the team got their own movie. now where's the penguin?

14th
--"elizabethtown." gotta see what all the hype is about.
--"north country." woody and charlize in minnesota iron range. curious.

21st
--"stay." ewan mcgreggor.
--"shopgirl." i'm still hoping that steve martin can be funny.

??
--"where the truth lies." colin firth, kevin bacon, and a dead girl. could be icky.



NOVEMBER:
4th
--"v for vendetta." hugo weaving. stephen rea. stephen fry. oh. and natalie.

9th
--"the new world." curiosity.

11th
--"rent." never seen it. never heard it. this is the easiest way.

18th
--"harry potter and the goblet of fire." #1. 72 days and counting.
--"walk the line." is it for joaquin or for johnny? yay!
--"pride and predjudice." i *heart* austen. but why remake the perfect BBC version? and put kiera in it? as lizzie? what? curiosity.
--"breakfast on pluto." neil jordan's back. and he's bringing cillian murphy with him. joy.



DECEMBER:
2nd
--"aeon flux." grew up with the animation, will grieve it's decimation.

9th
--"memoirs of a geisha." ziyi zhang. gong li. ken watanabe. quite possibly my favorite novel of all time. #3 most anticipated movie.
--"brokeback mountain." jake and heath and cowboy love. (finally, after being pushed back an entire year.)
--"the chronicles of narnia: the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe." must read first.

14th
--"king kong." just saw the trailer last week. wow.

21st
--"the producers." will farrell turns up. i can endure nathan lane for will farrell.

23rd
--"munich." tony kushner wrote it. that's all i need to know.
