Writer's Block: Secret song

what? i don't get this question. the only thing that would embarrass me is if it was a hateful song, full of n-word, bitchslapping, booty-tapping, assholishness. but then, if it really embarrassed me that much, i'd get rid of it, wouldn't i?
i have some pretty dumb music in my library. but i'm not shamed by any of it. i don't care what other people deem as good or bad, i just know what i like. and sometimes i like music because i think it's good...and other times i love music because i know it is the worst thing on the planet and actually listening to it makes me laugh outright. there is no room for vanity when you embrace irony.
pretend we're in the car and i've got my ipod on shuffle. these "embarrassing" tidbits may come up:
"you win again" by the beegees.
holy god, was there ever a cheesier comeback song? EVER? no! my 8-year-old self would have gone out into the front yard with this on her boombox and held a spoon up to her mouth and lip-synched to it. that is fkn throwback GOLD.
"mr. 007" by toybox.
soooooooo 1990s sugartechnopop. i can't help it. someone on youtube made an awesome obi-wan kenobi clone wars mashup video to it and it makes me happy.
"there's your trouble" by the dixie chicks.
as a general rule, i'm not a fan of country. but i don't let that limit me. a song gets stuck in my head for a reason. you can't control what you love.
"bluebird" by amber bjork.
yes. i wrote a song on rockband once. it's badly sung and slightly offensive in many ways. but hey. it's a character piece and belongs in a musical. also? three of the best hours i spent messing around with technology on one of my boredom nights (with rare help from alkeehol). let me know if you want a copy.
the xanadu soundtrack -- ONJ and ELO
always has been, and always will be, #1 album in my heart. i tell this to people so they will understand me a little better and do the preemptive judging. because after this, nothing i say or do should be a surprise to you.
the green album by weezer.
why do people not like this album? i think it's just as catchy as their first two. and it came out while i was in osaka and i bought the CD in a shop there. every time i listen to any song off of it, i still think of springtime in japan.
disney and anime songs.
why not? i like disney and anime songs. i like cartoons. i'd like to be in one. when i'm driving in a car full up of disney or anime song, it's kind like i am in one.
"careful" by guster.
hipster song = everyone pretends not to like it. fk labels. it's got a lovely melody.
"papa loves mambo" by perry como.
if you don't like this song, even in some twisted, ridiculous way, there is something terribly wrong with you.
i don't know. "embarrassment" means i'm afraid someone's gounna tease me because of it. and what if they do? is it going to make them like me less? probably not. if it does, there's issues there i can't solve, and dropping belinda carlisle or michael buble out of my playlist is not going to help us.
