You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think, "Wait a minute. Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when?" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know. It happens to all of us sometimes.

33. it's a pretty good age to be. although i often feel that i'm caught in that young/old tug-of-war... you know. where people look at you funny because you haven't "grown up" yet? yeah.
Location
minneapolis, mn. and i don't ever want to leave. even if i end up moving to st. paul, i will always consider myself minneapolisianese.
Occupation
i'm an actress. there. i said it.
although, it doesn't pay me much, so i suppliment it by putting in office time. i don't really know what it is exactly that this company does. i just format word documents and make everything read nice.
Partner?
none at the moment. i am pretty boy crazy though, to the extent that it could get me into trouble. and to combat that, i generally focus my rather strong and deathly heartlasers on a chosen celebrity crush. you'd have to be living under a rock UNDER atlantis to not understand who amber's want-of-the-year is.
Kids
don't want them now, and don't forsee wanting them later. if i do, i'm adopting an older child. babies ain't my bag. i prefer animals.

joleen is 5 years my senior. she's got 2 awesome boys from a previous marriage--noah (9) and jack (6)--and one new one from the current--lars (a couple of weeks old). i like her new husband, clinton. he's younger than her by 8 years, younger than me even. this officially makes jo a cougar, and thereby the coolest big sister ever. her ship totally came in. she lives on a farm with goats. totally jealous.
Pets
rico is a chinchilla. you don't know this yet, but chinchillas are the best rodents ever made. they're incredibly soft, stay cute forever, bounce off walls, take baths by rolling in dust, and live longer than some cats. if you treat them right they get really friendly and sociable. and if you have a mother that feeds them many more raisins than they should have, they end up really fat and really happy. seriously. rico is a fluffy butterball.

1. theatre. if i'm not doing it, i'm seeing it. most of my friends have some connection to theatre. and if they don't, i probably don't take them as seriously as i should. i left my theatre life for a while and it made me very unhappy. i won't make that mistake again.
2. music. i like to pick things up and learn how to make them sing. i'm teaching myself accordion. i will never really be any good at it. i'm also teaching myself mandolin, and i'll be even less good at that. but i'm pretty wizard on the recorder. yeah. that's that instrument that 9 year-olds play. suck it.
3. needlework. i'm a little addicted to stitching. i don't really know what to do about it. if i worry about it, i just end up doing more of it, so i guess there's just no fighting it.
