i can't even unfold the joy i had in having nusbaum here for the weekend. if i did, it would fill the screen and ruin all of your layouts.
we ate at all of my favourite resturants, sneered at art both good and bad, and laura got me over two very worrisome inhibitions:
1. i am no longer afraid of having my picture taken. oh my god. did the picture taking get out of hand. but you know what? we're both so pretty, we stop animals in their tracks. it's nice to finally have some recent pictures of me that i can send to my mail order bridal services...and publish with any subsequent open letters to cute band boys so they know what they'd be getting into. we got plenty. there's quite a few good ones with saffert as well, even if he isn't as photogenic as girls or non-jews.
2. smoking. that's right, it's finally been done. laura has a pic of me buying my first pack of cigarettes. aw shut up...before you all fly off the handle, i'm such a sandra-dee. i don't drink much, and i've never done anything for altered states of conciousness other than nyquil when i'm sick and sex when it's availiable. so goddammit, i know nothing about the holding of or the gesturing with a burning stick of tobacco and i've got to learn and get comfortable with it before rehearsal 1 on february 6. i do not [plan to] inhale, and laura tells me i'm on my way to being convincing. i'm a damn good mimic, so this shouldn't be hard. please note: i am putting a memory link on this entry to remind myself that, if i should somehow get hooked, i give you all permission to throw a cup of your own urine in my face. and no, i don't have a pee fetish, so it wouldn't be "good for me."
i hated saying goodbye to her. but, at the same time, nusbaum(!) kept having sex with jerry seinfeld in the kitchen and shitting in all the corners. that's something i can do without.
after she escaped my clutches, i found a seat waiting for me at a showing of "munich" and enjoyed the fuck out of it. good for me. and you, should you go. and you should go.
