THURSDAY NIGHT:
skipped the trip and caught saffert's show at the history theatre (christmas of swing). no review necessary, 'cause it rocked and i am duly envious. if y'all don't know, he's signing on with musician's equity as the guthrie has now hired him as rehearsal pianist.
FRIDAY MORNINING:
gifts from stephanie include: a coffee mug and beads from new orleans, some more postcards for my postcard wall, and "napoleon dynamite" on dvd. thanks, stephie!
FRIDAY AFTERNOON:
ac/dc'd on the driving before deciding to give it a go. arrived in duluth in one piece.
gifts from mandy include: a nutcracker which is also a pen which is also a nutcracker, and the book "under the black flag" which is all about pirates. i'm glad my friends take my obsessions so much to heart. good people.
enjoyed watching molly apply generous amounts of makeup to foldesi. enjoyed even more mary's reactions to said application.
FRIDAY EVENING:
attacked by the cutest thing on four legs. i have a new love in my life, and it is zac and steph's corgi pup, mayuge. i am going to frame pictures of her in little hearts. *explode*
zac and steph then proceeded to ram chocolates down my throat, tape my eyes open and force me to watch star wars, and bury me under unholy amounts of ripped disks. i have made an effigy of them in gold.
finally got to meet eric (finally "gonolius" on lj)who is pretty damn geekchic and am sorely disappointed i missed his baptismal in mayu-pee.
FRIDAY NIGHT:
most of you were there. very happy to see neal in town, and crafty latuska con her man into coming out (nice to finally meet him), and mary and molly and foldesi looking the trifecta of hot bitches all.
good karoke time was had, the devilmama and i got some good boobknockin' done, and thank you to neal and jody for impregnating my ears. nothing like hump in dolby surround.
SATURDAY MORNING:
mandy provided the noodles, jason provided the sauce, and the three of us got our eat on.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON:
watched napoleon while mandy got ready for rehearsal. watched "happy tree friends" after she left. defiled her room by rubbing my breasts on everything she owns.
SATURDAY EVENING:
the snow kept all plans of visiting amy and michelle from happening, and i'm sorry for that.
however. mandy and jason and i did a nikos/"28 days later" double feature.
only to be interrupted by mary and her gamey crew. therein started a war of trivial proportions. latuska did a mean job of getting us to second place, securing a defeat by mary and jason, yet a glorious victory over carrie and neal. not. too. shabby.
all i remember is charles barkley, the holocaust, and headlessgnome.com.
SUNDAY MORNING:
bought a shovel at walgreens. freed my car from its snowy prison. found that i am indeed a winter warrior. yar. (am now typing with the help of robots, as my arms don't seem to be responding to my brain.)
SUNDAY AFTERNOON:
salty windy drive home. also. assistance from robots.
SUNDAY EVENING:
getting ready to be hand fed by the polish. "national lampoon's christmas vacation" to commence at 7. my homemade refrigerator pickles to be enjoyed by all.
sorry to have missed laura...our paths will cross again soon. see if you have the 14h-17th free. we'll talk. hope you made it home okay, love.
OVERVIEW:
it was nice not being alone for new years. and i guess it's okay that i had to spend it with people that i think are pretty su-weet.
