stitching update: tanglewood menagerie

duchess_of_piethis was actually taken a couple of weeks ago. there's not much left, but i had to put it aside during the holiday rush.
there were many reasons i took on this piece. something about the old-celtic art feel of it. i can use the branches and the thistle patterns for other things, and i've kept my very favorite part--the sky, forthcoming--for last. but that dragon. i'm telling you i'm in love with him. it's one thing to get yerself a nice chinese or welsh dragon. but the old book-o-celts wtfisthat look is fun.
