planet earth. and oh hey,
Dec. 6th, 2007 09:28 amthanks to all of you for the wine tips. i see now that i am far behind my lushy flist. it looks like the vote's in for reisling. i will pick some up and drink it all.
the boy bought the "planet earth" box set for someone on his xmas list who wouldn't mind a stitch if we opened it up and watched of it. since we've seen episodes here and there, we've been itching to finish up the series.
please. please. if you like nature shows, even a little, go put this series on your netflix NOW. they put their cameramen through the most amazing conditions to get footage you've never ever seen before. and it's only made more amazing when, at the end of every episode, you get the planet earth diaries, where you get to listen to the crews stories and the conditions they had to go through in these lonely places to get the footage. last night we watched "caves," "great planes," and "ice world." when you see the cameramen trying to figure out what to do when a hungry polar bear is so close it sticks it's nose up against the window of their isolated shanty on an uninhabited norwegian island...you know you're getting good stuff.
